Spiderman and a Princess

Harrison loves to dress up now. He may be Spiderman in the morning and a Princess in the afternoon. Sometimes he is both at the same time. Gotta love him!

Carless in Rowlett

My Suburban went into the shop for some preventative maintainance this week, and it stayed longer than expected. Here were some of my thoughts over the last 2 days:
  • I am stuck at home so why not potty train Harrison. We have now finished 2 days in big boy unders, and he has had 3 accidents. Not to shabby.
  • Might as well wash the sheets!
  • Wonder how long it would take to walk to the pool?
  • Is there even a small corner of the house that is quiet?
  • When will the Chevy place call and tell me I can get my car??
  • I did get to talk to Anji alot because we were home and her house is being painted
  • When will Chevy call??

They finally called around lunch today. We loaded up in Anji Suburban (see even gas guzzling mego cars serve a purpose!) and off we went. So not my car is home, still needs to be washed, but is ready to drive us to the cooler weather in Colorado!

5 more days until we leave!

4th of July past

Since I was not thinking ahead and did not have my camera at the lake this year, I thought I would share some pictures from July 4th, 2004.

Hudson meeting the "real" Spiderman at Toys R Us in 2004.

Hudson out at the lake at night.

Let it all begin!

Well, after much dragging of my feet, I thought it time that I start a family blog. I if Iam sharing this with you, then please keep me honest. If I get behind, then pester and bug me for a family update! I hope I can figure this all out, and make it a fun blog for all that are reading. I hope to update several times a week, and I even want to share some things from the past 10 years of May family fun.

4th of JULY! We had a great time and we did not even plan on it. John got home late Thursday after a day of traveling and so we had a very lazy day on Friday. We decided to take the kids to see WALL-E. The movie theater is right next to the lake in Rockwall, so we threw chairs and a small cooler in the back of the car. So off to the movie we go. Harrison does OK. He was fine as long as he had some popcorn, and he asked a tons of questions. More on my thoughts about the movie later.
After the movie, we walked around the fountains and decided to eat there. We tried a YUMMY new mexican food place that we will share with people when they visit. After dinner, it was getting really crowded, but we stayed and found a really cool place on the water to watch fireworks. The kids splashed in the lake and threw rocks. Anji and Riley joined us and we had a perfect view of the fireworks over the water. If I can figure out how to get pictures off of my phone, I will share them soon.
A normal trip home takes 10 minutes and it took us an HOUR! The kids were worn out but did great going to bed at 11:00.

The rest of the weekend has been spent running a few errands, working around the house, and playing with the dogs. We are getting ready to watch a family movie and have some icecream. Then we can let the madness of the work week begin!
